Officials claim that deputies arrived to the scene at roughly 4:30 a.m. Shortly thereafter, a 42-year-old man reportedly shot at deputies. As a result, officials shot the man, who was transported to a nearby hospital. The incident did not leave any law enforcement officials hurt.
The disturbance, which is being investigated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, allegedly started when the man got into a fight with his 21-year-old son. However, authorities say the man’s wife was struck when she became involved. Deputies claim to have responded to several incidents at the home in recent years, including another domestic violence dispute.
